On Saturday, February 11, 2016, in Białka Tatrzańska, the first edition of an unprecedented ski race in Poland, BMW Mountain Tour – Through the peaks of Białka, will take place. The ride along the peaks of Białka using the region's lift infrastructure is a ski race never before seen in our country. The innovative formula combining ski tourism at its best with sporting competition for skiers and snowboarders ensures that every participant, regardless of skill level, will leave Białka with a wealth of positive memories. The BMW Mountain Tour race course is as long as 4.6 km, consisting of both straightforward routes marked by directional gates as well as a giant slalom part on the red FIS1 trail. This makes it the longest downhill race course in Poland in terms of competitions. The race will last about 18 minutes, which is the time it will take competitors to complete the entire run. But the fun doesn’t end there, as the organizers have prepared a range of activities around the race, just as attractive as the competition itself on the slope. The starter pack for race participants, besides obvious participation in the BMW Mountain Tour, includes an all-day ski pass worth 99 PLN, a commemorative bib with a start number, and access to the Apres-ski zone combined with the BMW XDrive village, where there will be opportunities to continue the winter fun. The program includes, among others: a Red Bull stage with music played by a DJ, a concert by the band Future Folk, Rossignol ski tests, and a ski fashion show. Additionally, in the Apres-ski zone, you can replenish lost calories in a tasty way and have a winter mulled wine. The BMW Mountain Tour race route – Through the peaks of Białka consists of 4 descents and 3 lifts making up an unforgettable race. Starter pack pickup takes place on Thursday (February 9, 2017) and Friday (February 10, 2017) from 10:00 to 18:00, and on race day (February 11, 2017) from 06:00 to 07:00. Competitors gather in the BMW xDrive village at 07:00. Race start is scheduled for 08:00. More information is available at www.bmwmountaintour.pl. Practical information:
